Blue Jeans Cable LC-1 Double-Shielded Low Capacitance Subwoofer Cable, 10 foot, White Overview
This 10 foot white subwoofer cable is made by Blue Jeans Cable in our Seattle assembly shop using our proprietary LC-1 low-capacitance, heavily-shielded analog audio cable stock and Taversoe brand crimp connectors. The most common quality issues in subwoofer cabling have to do with hum, and the LC-1 cable carries an extremely heavy double-braid shield for maximum shield effectiveness at low frequencies and excellent ground contact between receiver and subwoofer. Despite its thickness (.305 inch) the LC-1 cable is very flexible due to its soft nitrogen-foamed dielectric. The connectors are gold-plated where it counts--on the contact surfaces--and grip the RCA jack on your receiver and subwoofer using a set of spring contacts which ensure solid grip without the jack-damaging "death-grip" phenomenon associated with many other tight RCA contact systems. This cable has a white PVC outer jacket which makes it suitable for installations where the cable must be exposed against a white or light-colored wall or baseboard.
